 Jocelyn Bell Burnell
(1943 - ) Jocelyn Bell Burnell helped discover pulsars and with Antony Hewish, but she was excluded when he won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1974 for this discovery. She went on to win many other awards for her work. When she was appointed as a professor, there was only one other female professor of physics in England. |
