 Elizabeth Hooten
(1600-1720)was an early member of the Religious Society of Friends and a long time friend of George Fox. She sometimes entered English churches in sack cloth garments to preach her beliefs. She was jailed many times for this. She died while on an evangelical mission to Jamaica. |
